We are looking for a talented and experienced Parts Manager, Service Manager, Finance Manager and a Procurement & Logistic Manager. The main focus of the managers will be the start-up of a new large-scale service business for Motorcare in Mozambique.

MOTORCARE MOZAMBIQUE LDA
Motorcare Mozambique Lda
is a company registered in Maputo, Mozambique, which holds the national distribution rights in the country for Nissan and Land Rover vehicles and UD Trucks. The Danish origin company has been located in Maputo since 1994. MOTORCARE was established in 1996 and has proved to be very successful. Since its foundation, it has grown from green field to a market-leading position in the LCV segment. The service provided by Motorcare is recognised as one of the best in the country. Motorcare operates in Maputo, Nampula, Tete and Beira and is represented by 133 employees.

CANDIDATE PROFILES
The Management team will be operating in a well-respected automotive group, where brand recognition and customer excellence is essential. Your background will demonstrate a breadth of skills and expertise, and your contribution to the bottom line will be of an exceptional level.

You must have international experience, as well as experience in being posted in emerging economies; however, consideration will be given to all applicants who possess impeccable credentials.
The expectation is a long-term employment in Kjaer Group A/S with a minimum 3-year contract.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior position in the automotive industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree - preferred
• Professional attitude and dedication to achieving high results
• Proven ability to build and/or run large businesses

Finance Manager - Job description

Job Purpose
The main focus for the Finance Manager will be the establishment of a finance department in a new large-scale service business. This position will be responsible for improving financial performance through the setting up of finance and risk management systems for all workshop activities for a number of Service Centres throughout Mozambique according to overall group policies.

Key Responsibilities
• Overall responsibility for all finance and administration
• Ensuring compliance in all financial matters (taxation, accounting standards, etc.)
• Establishing and maintaining appropriate internal controls
• Payments, bookkeeping and financial reporting
• Financial analyses, planning / budgeting and identification of financial improvements
• All matters related to local staff and administrative tasks on expatriates
• Cash management and relations with financial institutions
• Participation in employment, termination, promotions, development of human resources
• Debtor and stock management
• Entire administrative set-up in general for all matters not related to purchase and sale of goods
• Risk management
• Acting and behaving in accordance with the Kjaer Group Way of Management

 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Minimum 5 years’ finance management experience from an internationally operating business
• Proven ability to build and/or run the finance department of large businesses
• Higher finance and business degree (MBA / CPA)

Procurement & Logistic Manager - Job description

Job Purpose
The main focus for the Procurement & Logistic Manager will be the establishment of a procurement & logistic set-up in a new large-scale service business. This position will be responsible for all procurement activities and supply chain management for a number of Service Centres throughout Mozambique.

Key Responsibilities
• Supply Management including identifying and developing supplier relationships, implementing terms & contractual documentation, benchmarking suppliers, looking for cost cuts and seeking new and innovative supply solutions
• Setting up and carrying out performance evaluations of logistic systems and operation
• Dealing with technical and commercial queries from customers and suppliers
• Building, managing and motivating a logistics team for all branches in Mozambique
• Acting and behaving in accordance with the Kjaer Group Way of Management

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Minimum 5 years’ experience within purchasing/logistics preferably in the automotive industry or similar
• Proven ability to build and/or run the procurement and logistics department of large businesses
• Bachelor’s degree - major in Logistics preferred

Parts Manager - Job description

The main focus for the Parts Manager will be the establishment of a parts management set-up in a new large-scale service business. This position will be responsible for all parts sales and marketing activities for a number of Service Centres throughout Mozambique.

Key Responsibilities
• Overall responsibility for parts sales and defining stock mix and quantities
• Implementing local parts storage in all branches in Mozambique
• Management and development of parts sales department for all branches in Mozambique
• Preparing and implementing budgets and action plans
• Designing and launching sales/marketing programmes
• Developing systems to ensure maximisation of sales of spare parts and accessories through the workshop
• Supervising and providing training on the job to parts and workshop staff
• Implementing a performance evaluation system
• Acting and behaving in accordance with the Kjaer Group Way of Management

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with Parts Management preferably in the automotive industry or similar

Job Purpose
The main focus for the Service Manager will be the establishment of the Service business workshops in a new large-scale service business. This position will be responsible for all workshop activities for a number of Service Centres throughout Mozambique.

Key Responsibilities
• Building and assuring profitable workshop operations according to the overall strategy of MTC
• Preparing and implementing budgets and action plans
• Employing and assuring highly efficient, skilled and motivated workshop staff for all branches in Mozambique
• Controlling, maintaining and investing in an inventory of professional tools, shop consumables and required equipment
• Supervising and providing training on the job to workshop staff for all branches in Mozambique
• Implementing a performance evaluation system
• Implementing and setting new performance targets for Health, Safety and Environment procedures in the workshop according to the regional HSE policy
• Acting and behaving in accordance with the Kjaer Group Way of Management

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Minimum 5 years’ experience within Service Management preferably in the automotive industry or similar.
• Proven ability to build and/or run the service department of large businesses
